If you try to press the "New Window" button in the file menu, a Windows error message will appear: Better Explorer does not work anymore!

Windows can not fix the error and the program crashes.

There seems to be a problem with the function itself. When I click on the New window button in the Ribbon Quick Links, exactly the same thing happens.

I do not know why that leads to a crash, but that should be fixed quickly or right?

Not important to me because if I have tabs I do not need any extra windows. I could live completely without this function. But it may be important to other users.

The error is reproducible. Whether the program runs with or without admin rights does not matter.

Program version: Better Explorer
Version 2018.06.06.6 RC, 64-bit version
On Windows 8.1 64-bit (Version 6.3 Build 9600)

Steps to reproduce this issue

It's easy to crash your Better Explorer in Version 2018.06.06.6 RC, 64-bit version!

  1. Just open the file menu and then click on "New Window"
Or click on the New window button in the Ribbon Quick Links, exactly the same thing happens.
  2. That's it, Better Explorer should crash now!
